Nepal, playing against Oman and debuting in League-2,


Nepal is debuting on Wednesday in the ICC World Cup League-2, which will be the one-day World Cup selection competition of 2023. Nepal played against Oman at the TU ground in Kirtipur, making their debut in League - 2.

According to the concept of triangular series in Ligue-2, the United States is competing 2-2 times in Kirtipur with Nepal and Oman a week. In which each team will play 4 one-day games.

In 2014, Oman won by a narrow margin of 2 wickets in the ACC Premier League. This is the first time Nepal lost to Oman for the first time in a one-day game.

Earlier, Nepal had won over Oman in Division-3 of 2013 by 28 runs, six wickets in the ACC Trophy of 2010 and 105 runs in the ACC tree of 2002.

Nepal's opening captains Gyanendra Malla and Paras Khadka are likely to play in Wednesday's match. For this, Gyanendra and Paras had prepared for the practice games.

The ICC, which has removed all divisions of the World Cup Cricket League, will host the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League for 12 nations. The competition in the Group 2 will be between Bermuda, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Jersey, Kenya, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore, Uganda and Vanuatu. The 2 teams from this league will reach the playoffs of the World Cup selection.

There will be six teams competing in the playoffs in 2022. The 2 teams from the playoffs will reach the World Cup selection competition.

The World Cup selection will be contested between 2 teams in the playoffs, 3 teams in league-2 and five teams in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

Before that, there will be 13 teams competing in 2022 in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
 The Super League will feature Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the West Indies and Zimbabwe. The top 8 teams will go straight to the World Cup. 5 teams will play a selection.

There will be a clash between the 2 teams in the selection. From where the 2 teams will reach the World Cup. Thus, the 10 teams that have played four years of selection will compete in the World Cup to be held in India in 2023.
